Question from Christina Bertoli:
I don't understand "è stato depositato" in the following context:
"Oggi, infatti, è stato depositato un algoritmo che consente di trasportare su Internet..."
Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some light on this for me, Christina
Thanks in advance

Depending on the rest of the text, it might be an algorithm that has been patent registered or registered with a public office. Usually the word "depositato" is used in connection with a "marchio depositato" which means a "registered trademark (TM)". Cheers, Jeanet

Thanks Jeanet. I ended up having to nail it down with the client -- it turns out that the algorithm was *copyrighted*.
