Languages are my element
I grew up in a country where the words for “bread” and “milk” are printed in three different languages on the packaging as no less than three national languages are available there. Children deal with French German Italian and English at school while they speak their own mother tongue at home.
When I left to live elsewhere, I realised how valuable languages were. Today still, in my travelling, it is still like a reflex. I strive to understand and make myself understood in the local idiom even if it means studying again. Same with translation!
