I am a Brazilian journalist and writer, based in the UK since 2002.
I am currently employed as an in-house translator, software localizator, proof-reader and linguistic consultant, under the job title of Brazilian Portuguese Localization Specialist. In my current job, I am also a localization coordinator for one of the house projects, for which I manage translations into 12 languages. I am also the Portuguese editor for Global Voices Online, a non-profit global citizens’ media project founded at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society. We aim to aggregate, curate, and amplify the global conversation online - shining light on places and people other media often ignore. I am also a translator/editor for the Portuguese version of the site. During the past few years, I have done a wide range of additional translation work, from subtitling short films from the world over into Portuguese for Hurluberlu Films to some freelance translation on education, NGO and genera
